EN124 THE BACKGROUND
In 1973 a European Technical Committee was founded to develop a European Standard for Manhole Covers and Gully Gratings with a clear opening of less than a 1000mm. This resulted in the European Standard EN124 being first published in 1986.

Product Testing
In
line with the requirements of EN 124 Cavanagh
Foundry products are tested on our in house testing facilities. Our state of the art test press is computer controlled and it can apply a maximum load of 900kN. All products are tested for deformation and ultimate proof load. Iron samples are spectrographically analysed before pouring for chemical conformity. Our tests include microscopic analysis, brinell test, tension and compression testing.
Our Product engineers are available
to discuss any technical requirements
that you may have
regarding product selection. Our engineering
office is equipped with the most up to
date 3D drawing software and structural
analysis
packages.
A site service is also offered whereby a Cavanagh representative can call to site to discuss and recommend product. |
